Why Medellin

A bridge between roots and life abroad.

Colombia reminded Anasia of Jamaica through its lush green mountains, tropical climate, vibrant culture and warm people. Medellín offered the energy of a city with the warmth of a close-knit community, surrounded by nature, opportunity and possibility.

It felt like the perfect place to build a bridge between her Jamaican roots and a new life abroad.

More than a restaurant.

Jamaiquita was born from Anasia's dream to create community, share Jamaican culture, and offer a home away from home in Colombia.

It is a place of One Love, where Jamaican food, music, and culture bring people together.

Wi likkle but wi tallawah.

We are small, but we are strong.
